The Man In Karanganyar Who Persecuted His Wife To Death Was Arrested By The Police

JAKARTA - The Karanganyar Police, Central Java, revealed a case of domestic violence (KDRT) committed by AAW that caused his wife with the initials JS to die.

Karanganyar Police Chief AKBP Jerrold Hendra Yosef Kumontoy said his party had named AAW as a suspect in the case.

The case of violence was carried out by AAW to his wife at his home in the Selokaton Village area, Gondangrejo District, Karanganyar Regency on Thursday (6/6) at 02.30 WIB.

Jerrold said that initially the suspect's mother, S, came to her son's house to wake her up. AAW himself sells vegetables every day.

"But the witness saw the victim, JS was in a condition of a seizure lying on the bed. The witness had time to give the victim a drink. Then the witness asked for help from neighbors to take the victim to the hospital in the Solo City area," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 11.

After being examined, at 03.15 WIB the victim was declared dead.

Furthermore, the witness informed the victim's family and the victim's family about the sad news and then went to the hospital.

However, according to him, the family received irregularities in JS's death, namely in the form of bruises on the victim's body. In addition, when he was about to be bathed before the funeral, there was a red liquid coming out of the victim's mouth and nose.

Furthermore, on June 13, the victim's family reported the incident to the police. He said from the report, the police conducted an investigation by examining a number of witnesses and visiting the location.

In addition, exhumation and autopsy of the body were also carried out after obtaining approval from the family.

"From the results of the exhumation and autopsy, the death of the victim was caused by violence in the head and around the body," he said.

The police also carried out scientific crime investigations by involving a forensic doctor and conducting psychological examinations on the perpetrators.

"From the examination and other evidence obtained, AAW has been named a suspect," he said.

The perpetrator is charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code with the threat of life imprisonment or a maximum of 20 years and Article 388 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 15 years in prison and RI Law Number 23 of 2024 Article 44 paragraph 3 with a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison and or a maximum fine of IDR 45 million.
