Pamtas Yonarmed 11 Kostrad Task Force Fails To Smuggle 480 Cans Of Alcohol From Malaysia

NUNUKAN (NUNUKAN) Task Force Pamtas Yonarmed 11 Kostrad thwarted efforts to smuggle 480 cans of Huster brand of liquor (alcohol).

The arrests occurred when Danpos Tembalang, Lt. Arm Yones Edita, and 8 members carried out sweeping in the Sebuku District, Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan on Sunday, September 8.

In a sweeping operation held on the main road of Sebuku District, the Pamtas Task Force team stopped and inspected a black Suzuki Carry Pick Up driven by YPD (65), a driver from Harapan Village, Sebuku District, Nunukan Regency.

After an inspection, the team found 480 cans of Huster brand alcohol hidden under piles of wood in the back tub of the car.

The liquor was wrapped in black and red plastic, so it was seen deliberately hidden.

Based on information from YPD, the item is a deposit from someone who is planned to be taken by someone else in the Tulin Onsoi District, Nunukan Regency.

Currently, evidence of alcohol has been secured at the Tembalang Post and will be taken to the Kotis Pamtas Yonarmed 11 Kostrad Task Force for further legal proceedings.

Dansatgas Pamtas Yonarmed 11 Kostrad, Lt. Col. Arm Gde Adhy Surya Mahendra said the sweeping operation was part of efforts to maintain security at the border and prevent the circulation of illegal goods, including liquor.

"We will continue to increase surveillance and patrols to prevent smuggling that can harm the community and maintain order in border areas," he said.

This success is proof of the seriousness of the Pamtas Yonarmed 11 Kostrad Task Force in maintaining the security of the country's border areas and suppressing the circulation of illegal goods entering Indonesia.
