AHY Uploads Moments Of 'Taking' During The 2024 Presidential Election

Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) alluded to the moment when Anies Baswedan'stabbed' during the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

Initially, AHY said that the Democratic Party had only undergone a big test a year ago. The moment in question is the betrayal of the party coalition.

At that time, the Democrats agreed to form a coalition with NasDem and PKS and give the green light to AHY as Vice Presidential Candidates (Cawapres).

However, the position was actually given to the General Chairperson of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar, then appointed Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate.

Democrats then chose to leave and join the Forward Indonesia Coalition (KIM) to support Prabowo Subianto.

"Last year we said that the Democrats at that time had just faced a big test, after trying for a long time when it ran aground on many things that were beyond our control," AHY said in his remarks at the DPP Democrat, Jakarta, Monday, September 9.

According to him, that moment was the turning point of the Democrats. Because, his decision to join KIM bore fruit.

"Not only then can we immediately move on from a situation that was not politically beneficial at that time, especially in injury time times before we enter into the important round of elections," he said.

Now, Democrats are included in President Jokowi's government and are also joining the elected presidential coalition Prabowo Subianto. AHY was appointed by President Jokowi as Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR)/Head of the National Land Agency (BPN).

"Then after the election after February 14, 2024, we will get the mandate and historical role to return to the national government, we must also be grateful," said AHY.
