President: Banda Aceh RSUDZA Still Needs Additional Patient Beds

BANDA ACEH - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that the Zainoel Abidin Regional General Hospital (RSUDZA) Banda Aceh still needs additional beds, due to the large number of patients receiving treatment at the Aceh Government Hospital.

"Indeed, the health services here are extraordinary, a day can be two thousand (patients). Maybe it should be considered to increase the number of beds," said President Jokowi in Banda Aceh as reported by ANTARA, Monday, September 9.

This statement was conveyed by President Jokowi to reporters after conducting a review of the facilities at Zainoel Abidin Hospital, Banda Aceh.

President Jokowi said the management at the Aceh Provincial Government (Pemprov) hospital was good, then also looked clean, and was able to serve the community well.

President Jokowi also said that RSUDZA had received medical equipment assistance from the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) in the form of lab paints (for heart diagnosis) and others.

However, so far what has just been realized is only lab paints, while other medical equipment proposals such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and CT Scan are still in process.

"I checked the medical equipment from the Ministry of Health, the lab paint came, but the CT Scan MRI is maximal next year (realized)," said President Jokowi.

For information, President Jokowi's visit today to Aceh to participate in several agendas, namely the inauguration of four Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road sections, inaugurating the rehabilitation, renovation and construction of the XXI Aceh-North Sumatra National Sports Week (PON) venue (PON) 2024 in Banda Aceh, and reviewing the facilities of the Banda Aceh RSUDZA.

Finally, President Jokowi is scheduled for tonight to officially open the XXI Aceh-North Sumatra National Sports Week (PON) 2024 at the Banda Aceh National Hope Stadium.
