Pramono Asks Jokowi To No Longer Jabat Seskab Before The Determination Of Cagub-Cawagub Jakarta

JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung's candidate admits that he has submitted a letter of resignation from the position of Cabinet Secretary to President Joko Widodo. Pramono admitted that he had asked Jokowi to sign approval for his resignation before the appointment of a candidate for Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta by the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) on 22 September. "I have asked the President for permission, to the Minister of State Secretary, on September 22, is the time," said Pramono at the Sunda Kelapa Mosque, Central Jakarta, Friday, September 6. Pramono admitted that he could not simply resign and leave the post of Cabinet Secretary quickly. Because, he still has a task that must be completed. "I still have to do some tasks, including preparing for September 11, there is a cabinet meeting at IKN," said Pramono. Thus, Pramono feels that he still has to finish the rest of his work before being officially appointed as a candidate for governor of Jakarta in the 2024 Pilkada. "So I'm still working and officially if it's been determined (as a candidate), I don't have time (to work as a Cabinet Secretary) anymore," he explained. Previously, Pramono Anung confirmed that he would resign from his position as Cabinet Secretary this month.

The former Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) is targeting him to officially resign in line with the appointment of a pair of regional head candidates by the General Elections Commission (KPU) which will take place on September 22. "There is (planned to resign), for sure. Anyway, I will announce it in time. It must be this month," said Pramono at the MH Thamrin Museum, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, September 3.
