Investigators Ask For Immigration To Send Data On 15 Foreigners Involved In Illegal Mining Sekotong NTB

JAKARTA - Investigators from the West Lombok Resort Police, West Nusa Tenggara, have asked the Mataram Immigration Office for complete data on foreign nationals (WNA) from China who are suspected of being involved in illegal mining activities in the people's gold mining area of the Sekotong area. "Because the complete data is in immigration, so we wrote again asking for more data so that we can get a complete identity with a photo of a Chinese citizen," said Head of the West Lombok Police Satreskrim AKP Abisatya Darma Wiryatmaja in Gerung, Antara, Thursday, September 5. The number of Chinese citizens suspected of being involved in illegal mining activities is 15 people. According to Abisatya, this data is important in supporting the police investigation process. "Indeed, there are some data from foreigners on us, but we also need immigration to make sure whether or not these (Chinese nationals) are involved in Sekotong," he said. If the data has been obtained, he ensures that investigators will search for the 15 Chinese nationals. Mining activities at the location of the illegal mine which is suspected to be managed by Chinese citizens have been temporarily closed. The locations are on the Lendak Bare hill and the Lenong hill, Preparation Blongas Village, Sekotong District, West Lombok Regency. Head of the Mataram Immigration Office Selfario Adhityawan Pikulun previously said that his party had received a number of information related to the whereabouts of 15 Chinese nationals suspected of being involved in illegal mining activities in Sekotong. "From the latest information, there are several foreigners (Chinese citizens) leaving NTB. We have coordinated this information with the West Lombok Police," said Selfario Adhityawan Pikulun. In an effort to trace through immigration data, he said, the Mataram Immigration Office had found the identities of the 15 Chinese nationals. The data submitted by Selfario was obtained thanks to intensive coordination with the West Lombok Police. "So, these 15 Chinese nationals are registered to have visas and residence permits as investors," he said. Selfario also ensured that the Mataram Immigration Office supports the West Lombok Police in uncovering the alleged illegal mining case involving the 15 Chinese nationals.

The form of commitment is given intensively through coordination with the Directorate General of Immigration, Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights NTB, Polda NTB, and Polres West Lombok.
