BANDUNG - The Bandung City Police (Polrestabes) has imposed the closure of Jalan Asia Afrika in connection with the inauguration of members of the West Java DPRD for the period 2024-2029 at the Merdeka Building, Bandung City.

Head of Traffic Operations (KBO Satlantas) of the Bandung Polrestabes AKP Deden said that his party had deployed a number of personnel to divert traffic flow along Jalan Asia Afrika.

"The closure has been carried out since this morning, at 06.30 WIB to 14.00 WIB," Sumari said as quoted by ANTARA Bandung, Monday, September 2.

Deden said there were several road closure points. Among them along Jalan Asia Afrika starting from the intersection of Jalan Tamblong to the T-junction of Jalan Alun-alun Timur (Globe Asia Africa).

Then along Jalan Soekarno, then Simpang Tiga Jalan Homan to Jalan Asia Afrika.

"Lastly we closed on Jalan Braga short to Jalan Asia Afrika - Intersection Three of Jalan Cikapundung Barat to Jalan Asia Afrika," he said.

To avoid traffic jams, the police also imposed a diversion. For those leading to Jalan Asia Afrika - Tamblong, it will be directed to Jalan Lengkong Kecil.

Meanwhile, those from the west will be diverted to Jalan Dalem Kaum. He said police personnel had been stationed at the road closure and diversion.

They will help the community to direct traffic flow by implementing this temporary diversion.

"We urge the public to follow directions from officers and we also urge them to avoid the Asia Africa Road area, please find alternative ways to other roads," he said.
