RK-Suswono Claims To Be Carried By 15 Political Parties Forward To The Jakarta Gubernatorial Election, KPU Records Only 13

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) has received the registration of Ridwan Kamil-Suswono as a candidate pair for Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta. When registering, RK-Suwono claimed that 15 political parties (political parties) were promoted.

However, the DKI Jakarta KPU only recorded 13 political parties that participated in carrying RK-Suswono. This data was also obtained by the KPU from the Candidate Information System (Silon) which was filled by the RK-Suswono team before registering with the KPU.

"I have recorded thirteen participating parties and thirteen proposers. So, we make sure that currently in our data the thirteen participating parties that accompanied Mr. Ridwan Kamil," said Chairman of the DKI Jakarta KPU Wahyu Dinata at the DKI Jakarta KPU office, Wednesday, August 28.

The KPU noted that the political parties carrying RK-Suswono included the Gerindra, PKS, Golkar, NasDem, PKB, PSI, Democrats, PAN, Perindo, PPP, Garuda, Gelora, and PBB. Meanwhile, the Prima Party and PKN are not listed as the supporting political parties.

"What is certain is that in Silon, the process was already running openly, because one of the registration requirements was the presence of a candidate pair. Second, the leader of the proposing party was present," he said.

Today, two prospective Jakarta cagub-cawagub pairs have registered with the KPU. Pramono Anung-Rano Karno was the first to visit the DKI Jakarta KPU Office, promoted by PDI Perjuangan (PDIP). Following that, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono arrived at the DKI KPU Office as the second candidate to register for the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

The KPU has scheduled Pramono-Rano to undergo a medical examination at the Tarakan Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Central Jakarta, on August 30 starting at 07.00 WIB.

Meanwhile, the Ridwan Kamil-Suswono couple are scheduled to undergo a health check the next day on August 31 at the same time.

The DKI Jakarta KPU stated that all the requirements included by the two candidates for governor and deputy governor are complete. Furthermore, the KPU began to verify the registration administration until September 5, 2024.
