Jokowi Leaves Jakarta On Wednesday Morning, Leaves For DIY To Inaugurate The Market

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo left for the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) to make a working visit, including inaugurating hospitals to markets on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana said that the President and his entourage took off using the Indonesia-1 Presidential Aircraft from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, at around 08.00 WIB.

"Arriving at the Indonesian Air Force Base, Adi Sutjipto, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta, the President and his entourage will go directly to the Sardjito Hospital (RS) Yogyakarta," Yusuf said in a statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, August 28.

There, the Head of State is scheduled to conduct a review as well as inaugurate the Maternal and Child Health Service Building at Sardjito Hospital in Yogyakarta.

"In addition, President Jokowi is also scheduled to inaugurate the Godean Market, Sleman Regency. The market, which has been built since 2023, is estimated to accommodate around 1,837 traders," said Yusuf.

The President plans to spend the night at the Yogyakarta Presidential Palace to continue his work visit the next day.

Also accompanying the President on the visit to DIY were Paspampres Commander Major General TNI Achiruddin, Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana, and Plh. Military Secretary of the President Brigadier General TNI Heri Purwanto.

Appearing to let go of the President's departure to DIY, namely Pangdam Jaya Maj. Gen. Rafael Granada Baay, Kapolda Metro Jaya Inspector General Pol. Karyoto, Pangkoopsud I Marshal TNI Bambang Gunarto, and Danlanud Halim Perdanakusuma Marsma TNI Destianto Nugroho Utomo.
