Indonesian Citizens In Japan Asked To Beware Of Topan Shanshan, August 27-28

JAKARTA - Indonesian citizens (WNI) in Japan are asked to be vigilant because Typhoon Shanshan is expected to hit western and eastern Japan on August 27 and 28.

The Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Tokyo announced on Sunday that the typhoon would be accompanied by strong winds and heavy rains.

Indonesian citizens are asked to be careful and monitor developments and information from the Japanese government, reconsider travel plans, and prepare sufficient logistics.

"Identification of safe areas or refugee camps and interconnecting with the family and community of local Indonesian citizens," said the Indonesian Embassy, quoted by Antara.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, Typhoon Shanshan moved north over the waters near the Ogaswara Islands.
