Searches For Ternate Flash Flood Victims Stopped Temporaryly, Continued Monday Morning

JAKARTA - The Joint SAR team together with the community are in the process of temporarily stopping the search and evacuation process for victims of the flash flood disaster in Rua Kota Ternate Village, North Maluku (Malut), Sunday at 18.00 WIT and will resume Monday (26/8) morning.

The head of the Ternate City Government Emergency Response Command Post, Rizal Marsaolydi Ternate, said on Sunday that his party would continue to update the data on victims and developments in flood management in Ternate and based on reports received from the public, some of the fatalities have not been found, so they will continue the search tomorrow.

"This is the last report that came in, there were eight fatalities, or their families have not been found until this afternoon, we will close the disbursement," he told Antara.

He said, from the data in the Emergency Response Post team as many as 11 victims, four of them were female. While the rest are male.

For treatment at Prima Wanisai Hospital, women and Hermawati Asman (49 years) women are undergoing treatment at the Ternate Army Hospital.
