JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) asked all parties to be aware of the potential for heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds on Sunday, August 18.

Meanwhile, the Jakarta area is mostly cloudy in the morning to early morning, with humidity of 60-91 percent, and a temperature of 24-32 degrees Celsius.

Previously, the Head of BMKG Dwikorita Karnawati said the increase in the potential for rain was because currently several parts of Indonesia were starting to return to the La Nina climate phenomenon.

The La Nina phenomenon is marked by the large amount of water vapor entering Indonesia. This resulted in the large growth of rain clouds which in turn could increase the potential for rain to occur.
