The Corruption-Corrupted Trans Sumatra Toll Road Procurement Funding Process Was Investigated By The KPK

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate allegations of corruption in land acquisition around the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS). Two witnesses were summoned and asked by investigators to explain the funding process on Thursday, August 15 yesterday.

"Investigators are investigating the JTTS land acquisition funding pattern," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Friday, August 16.

The two witnesses summoned were from PT Hutama Karya (Persero). They are M. Rizal Sutjipto (MRS) as the former Head of the Toll Road Business Development Division and an employee named Muhammad Ihsan.

Actually, the anti-corruption commission investigators also summoned another witness from the state-owned company but were not present. He is Koentjoro as Director of Operations III of PT Hutama Karya (Persero).

Previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption related to land acquisition around the Trans Sumatra Toll Road. Three suspects have been named for causing the state to lose up to tens of billions of rupiah.

They are former President Director of BUMN Hutama Karya, Bintang Perbowo; Head of Hutama Karya Business Development and Investment Division, Mohammad Rizal Sutjipto, and President Commissioner of PT Sanitindo Tangsel Jaya, Iskandar Zulkarnaen.

In this case, the KPK has confiscated 54 plots of land with an area of 622,233 square meters. This forced effort was carried out on 22 May.

As for the details of the 54 plots of land confiscated, 32 of them are in Bakauheni Village, South Lampung with an area of 436,305 square meters. While the rest are in Canggu Village, South Lampung, which covers an area of 185,928 square meters.
