Democrat KLB North Sumatra Sentil SBY Through A Press Conference In Hambalang: As An Unforgettable Memory

JAKARTA - Senior politician who is also the founder of the Democratic Party (PD), Hencky Luntung revealed the reason for the PD management version of the KLB Sibolangit version of North Sumatra (North Sumatra) to hold a press conference at the Hambalang Sport Center, Bogor, West Java, Thursday, March 25.

According to Hencky, this place will remind us of the memory project of the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).

"So that the eyes are open, as a memorable memory for the Indonesian people," Hencky told reporters, Thursday, March 25.

However, Hencky was reluctant to mention the Hambalang corruption case as the main reason for choosing the venue for the press conference.

He even argued that the choice of a place in Hambalang was to provide comfort for media crews to prevent potential transmission of COVID-19.

"That's because in Jakarta, the first COVID-19, closed space. If the Sport Center Hambalang is an open space. Take comfort," said Hencky.

As is known, when SBY served as president, there was a mega project that was being built on 32 hectares of land.

The Hambalang project is estimated to have a budget of IDR 2.5 trillion. It was originally planned as a National Center for Education, Training and Sports Facilities (P3SON).

Inside, there will be complete facilities, starting from a mosque, dormitory and a football field. However, in the middle of the road the project stalled due to stumbling blocks in a corruption case.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has identified corrupt practices by a number of parties during its tenure. Some of them are Minister of Youth and Sports Andi Mallarangeng, Former Member of the House of Representatives from the Democratic Party, Angelina Sondakh and Former Chair of the Democratic Party, Anas Urbaningrum.
