Evacuation Of Murder Victims In Central Halmahera Forest Successfully Done

The murder victim was brought to the hometown/Antara

JAKARTA - One victim of murder by an Unknown Person (OTK) in the forest of KM 21 Damuli, Patani, Central Halmahera (Halteng), North Maluku named Risno (40 years), was successfully evacuated by joint TNI / Police personnel and the community.

"The process of evacuating the body does take time and effort, because the road that is traversed from the village to the forest is very steep, where Risno's body takes hours back and forth", said Halteng Police Chief AKBP Nico A Setiawan when contacted from Ternate, reported by Antara, Thursday, March 25th.

Risno's body was successfully evacuated by the joint TNI/Police team through a long process, after being pronounced dead on Saturday, March 20.

The process of evacuating Risno's body took five hours because it was constrained by the heavy terrain. After all, the distance was quite far.

According to Nico, the process of evacuating Risno's body was due to the unfriendly weather that often flooded so that the joint team was hampered bypassing the Gowenly River which was hit by the flood.

But finally, Risno's body was successfully evacuated on Wednesday, March 24 at around 22.30 WIT, from the forest to the village and then Risno's body was taken by ambulance to the Public health center Tapeleo and temporarily buried at his house.

"According to the family's request, the bodies will be dispatched to their parents' house in Kalumata, South Ternate sub-district, Ternate city via the Patani - Weda sea route using the Public health center Halteng Regional Government speedboat and then via the Weda - Sofifi and Ternate land routes", he said.

In the incident of the killing of residents in the forest by the OTK, the number of survivors was four, including Marsawan, Jahid, Anto who were residents of Batu Dua Tapeleo village, North Patani sub-district, and one member of the TNI Kopral Dua Moh Zen Tehuayo Babinsa, Maliforo Koramil 1512-02/Patani.

Meanwhile, three people died including Risno, Ucu who was a resident of Batu Dua village, Tapeleo North Patani, and Hi Masani, a resident of Masure village, East Patani sub-district.
