Jokowi: National Team Uses Football Training Center At IKN September

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the Indonesian national team will use a training field at the football training center located in the capital city of Nusantara, East Kalimantan, in September.

"Yesterday I asked the chairman of PSSI, September it will be used because this has become 2.5 fields," said President Jokowi after reviewing the field at the football training center at IKN, East Kalimantan, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 13.

The President said the facilities for the two soccer fields had been completed using synthetic grass and original grass, while half the area of the field was used for technical training.

According to the Head of State, these two and a half soccer fields are more than enough for the national team to train. However, the plan is to build eight fields contributed from FIFA and AFC.

"Although the plan is to have eight fields later. Some are from PSSI, from FIFA, from AFC, so it's a donation, it's good," said the President.

Based on the information gathered, the football training center is located on an area of 34.5 hectares.

The field in the football training center used natural and synthetic grass.

The football training center at IKN has a hostel with a capacity of 138 people, 56 double rooms for players, 20 single rooms for the coaching team, and sixsuites for the head coach.

The dormitory is also equipped with physiotherapy facilities, fitness, medical treatment, and others.
