Bring Additional Evidence Of Slander Cases To The Police, Gus Halim: Lukman Edy Is Nobody For PKB

SURABAYA - Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council of the East Java National Awakening Party (DPW PKB) Abdul Halim Iskandar returned to the East Java Regional Police to bring additional evidence related to allegations of slander by Lukman Edy.

"So today I fulfilled the summons to complete questions and statements regarding the reports I have submitted, regarding hate speech that is slanderous by Lukman Edy's brother to PKB at all levels, because he mentioned PKB, meaning yes DPP, DPW and DPC," said Gus Halim, as he is reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 9.

Gus Halim emphasized that Lukman Edy's statement that PKB's finances were not managed transparently was very painful.

Gus Halim called the statement intentional slander, a planned crime.

"Why am I saying it was intentional and planned because it was doubtful in an inappropriate place and invited the media, not just talk, not a suitable forum for that," he said.

Moreover, the statement was made at PBNU, where PBNU and PKB constitutionally have no relationship whatsoever. PBNU continued, he was accompanied by the Orthomogeneous Law, while PKB was accompanied by the Political Party Law (Parpol).

"If PKB and NU residents are a unit. Especially if they are traced again that Lukman Edy is a nobody for PKB, how come he can talk like that, you don't know, that's what we were then very offended and felt that there was a very heinous slander and deliberately committed the crime to PKB," he said.

The PKB DPP previously questioned Lukman Edy's statement when giving a press statement after attending an invitation from the special committee formed by the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board which took care of relations between the two institutions, on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

A number of PKB administrators in the regions then reacted by reporting Lukman to the police. In East Java, East Java PKB Chairman Abdul Halim Iskandar reported Lukman to the East Java Regional Police, Tuesday, August 6, 2024 yesterday, on charges of spreading slander and fake news.
