Bribe Edhy Prabowo Asking Justice Collaborator, Judge To Consider

JAKARTA - The panel of judges in the case of alleged lobster seed export license bribery is still considering the defendant's petition, Suharjito, regarding justice collaborator.

"Well, the problem is, of the number of companies or companies that have been granted BBL export permits and cultivation permits, only one presented at the trial. That is also a question and the panel's note regarding your request," said the presiding judge Albertus Usada in a statement. trial at the Corruption Court, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 24.

"Then we will study the urgency and relevance of the JC submission. Before the drafting of the letter of demand, we will state our position on your request. So there is still time," he continued.

After the trial, Suharjito's lawyer, Adwin Rahardian, said that the justice collaborator application was made on Wednesday, March 17th.

JC's request was because his client had acknowledged all his actions and was cooperative during the trial. The lawyers hope that JC Suharjito's petition will be granted by the judge.

"Yes, from the first, it was cooperative from the start of the investigation process, and for Pak Suharjito there was no burden. He did admit that he did," said Adwin.

"Regardless of whether the act fulfills a criminal element or not, then the panel of judges will judge. Because Pak Suharjito himself gave him the money because he was asked," he continued.

Adwin said that in the next trial, his client would reveal everything that was known about the bribery case. Everything will be conveyed when Suharjito is undergoing examination by the defendant.

"So what he knows will be revealed at the defendant's examination next week," he said.

Suharjito was charged with bribing former Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Edhy Prabowo for IDR 2.1 billion. The bribe is related to the export license for lobster or fry.

According to the prosecutor, Suharjito gave bribes to Edhy Prabowo through the special staff of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Safri and Andreau Misanta Pribadi. In addition, the name of Edhy's Personal Secretary, Amiril Mukminin, and Ainul Faqih as the personal staff of Edhy Prabowo's wife, namely, Iis Rosita Dewi, were also written.

Suharjito was charged with Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or Article 13 of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
