JAKARTA - The National Police has examined the analysis results report (LHA) of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) related to 92 blocked Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) accounts. As a result, there was no element of a criminal act.
"The results have been conveyed to PPATK that the National Police did not block the accounts because they had not found adequate predicate crimes," said the Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Andi Rian to reporters, Wednesday, March 24.
Andi also emphasized that the National Police had never asked PPATK to block or freeze dozens of these accounts. Therefore, to reactivate the FPI account it is under PPATK's authority.
"Yes (the unblocking of PPATK's authority)," he said.
Previously reported, the National Police Headquarters described the ownership of 92 accounts that were checked by PPATK. The account holders are former regional administrators to the center of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI).
"The PPATK has analyzed as many as 92 accounts, consisting of the FPI central board, regional administrators, and several individuals related to FPI activities," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono.
Of the dozens of accounts, said Rusdi, consisted of dozens of banks. Later, the results of the analysis will become a recommendation to determine whether there is a criminal offense during a case title.
"The 92 accounts are in 18 banks in Indonesia," he said.
"Of course, the results of the PPATK analysis will be input from Bareskrim Polri and of course Bareskrim Polri will follow up on whether or not there are criminal acts related to the flow of funds in the FPI organization," he continued.
