KENDARI - The Buser 77 Team from the Kendari Police, Southeast Sulawesi arrested 5 perpetrators and collectors of motorbike theft (curanmor). No half-hearted, this gang has acted in 30 crime locations.

Kendari Police Chief AKBP Didik Erfianto said that the 5 perpetrators arrested were AP (24) as the executor, while the other 4 ARS, AS (22), A (25) and I (22) were the collectors.

"Initially the suspect ARS ordered a motorbike from the main perpetrator, namely the suspect AP, after receiving the stolen motorbike from the main perpetrator, then the ARS suspect returned to selling the motorbike to US suspect and suspect A and suspect I," said Head of Police Didik in Kendari as reported by Antara, Wednesday, March 24.

After that, US suspects A and I also sold the stolen motorbike to someone else for profit.

"The actions of the detainers of the stolen motorbikes have been carried out many times from the end of 2020 to March 2021," said Didik.

From the suspects, the police confiscated evidence (BB), 13 automatic motorbikes of various types. Of the eight units of BB, police reports have been issued, while the owners of the other five units are still being identified.

The police first arrested AP in the Kambu Village area, Kambu District, Kendari City on March 18, 2021. From this development the police managed to arrest the four criminals.

The suspect AP is a recidivist of the same case. He is suspected of Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum threat of seven years in prison. Meanwhile, the four criminals are suspected of Article 480 of the Criminal Code with a maximum imprisonment of four years or a maximum fine of Rp900 thousand.

Currently the evidence is at the Kendari Police. He appealed to people who felt that they had lost their motorbikes to check by bringing their BPKB and STNK.
