JAKARTA - Two policemen will be on guard at each polling station (TPS) at the 7 sub-districts' re-voting (PSU) related to the Pilgub of South Kalimantan (Kalsel).

"We consider all areas vulnerable, so that maximum security is at all TPS," explained the Head of South Kalimantan Regional Police, Insp. Gen. Rikwanto in Banjarmasin, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 23.

Inspector General Rikwanto ensured the readiness of any security personnel needed according to the level of vulnerability being mapped.

"So that there is no excess, so we must not under estimate. We are all on alert. The TNI is also ready to make a full backup," he continued.

Rikwanto emphasized, the implementation of re-voting (PSU) must run safely and smoothly. He asked assigned members to continue to coordinate with the General Election Commission (KPU) so that all potential obstacles can be overcome.

"Let us help the KPU so that this PSU can be carried out according to the schedule determined by the Constitutional Court. The maximum time of 60 working days is certainly not long, all preparations must be rushed by the KPU," he said.

In addition, the Kapolda appealed to the public to maintain the social security situation and support the implementation of the PSU by giving their voting rights.

Not to forget, he also reminded the health protocol at the TPS that must be obeyed because currently it is still a COVID-19 pandemic.

"Whatever the outcome will be, that is the people's best choice. We reunite to build Banua South Kalimantan together to move the economy in times of trouble due to the pandemic," said Inspector General Rikwanto.

Denny Indrayana Called the Constitutional Court Decision a Victory

Candidate for Governor of South Kalimantan (Kalsel) Denny Indrayana is now trying to gather the strength of volunteers ahead of the re-voting at 827 polling stations in South Kalimantan.

The mobilization of volunteers was carried out after the Constitutional Court (MK) canceled the victory of Sahbirin Noor (Uncle Birin) and Muhidin and ordered another vote at 827 polling stations.

"Dangsanak, Alhamdulillah, after the Constitutional Court decision, let's prepare steps towards re-voting. Ulun received many phone messages that contributed to the re-voting process. The Constitutional Court (MK) previously canceled the decision of the South Kalimantan KPU on the recapitulation of the victory of the candidate pair Pilgub of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor (Uncle Birin) and Muhidin. The Constitutional Court ordered a re-voting (PSU) in 7 sub-districts of South Kalimantan. The candidate for governor of South Kalimantan who contested Uncle Birin's victory, Denny Indrayana, was grateful for the MK decision.

The decision was read out by the Constitutional Court judge at the decision hearing regarding the dispute over the results of the general election (PHPU) for the South Kalimantan Pilgub at the Constitutional Court building, Friday, March 19. The lawsuit was filed by Denny Indrayana-Difriadi Darjat.

"Alhamdulillah, we have just listened to the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the dispute over the results of the South Kalimantan Pilgub. We were won by the Constitutional Court, the KPU decision which previously won the number 1 candidate pair was canceled by the KPU and ordered to carry out a re-voting (PSU) in 5 Banjar sub-districts, South Banjarmasin District, and 24 polling stations in Tapin Regency.
