JAKARTA - Turkish forces targeted Kurdish militants in northern Iraq with airstrikes of up to 13 banned Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) members.
PKK militants have been "dinetralated" in the Gara and Haftanin areas of northern Iraq, the ministry said in a statement.
Reported by Reuters on Tuesday, July 30, the ministry's use of the term "dinetrallized" generally means "murder".
The Turkish military previously carried out airstrikes in northern Iraq on Friday last week and destroyed 25 Kurdish militant targets.
These targets include caves, shelters, bunkers, depots and facilities.
