3 Golkar Scenarios Determine Cagub Will Be In Jakarta And West Java 2024

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party, Ridwan Kamil, revealed three scenarios of Golkar in determining and announcing the candidates for regional heads who will be promoted in the 2024 Pilkada, including in Jakarta and West Java (West Java).

The three scenarios were decided on 8, 16, or 22 August 2024.

Until now, the Golkar Party has not finally determined which candidates for governor will be promoted to run in the Jakarta and West Java gubernatorial elections.

"(The final verdict for the regional elections) is 8th, 16th, 22. If Golkar has three windows, 8th window, 16th window, 22nd window," said Ridwan Kamil in his statement Wednesday, July 24.

According to Ridwan Kamil, if the dynamics in Jakarta and West Java are completed in July, the decision of the cagub in the two provinces will be announced on August 8. However, if the dynamics continues to strengthen, it will be decided on August 22, 2024.

"It means that if there is no dynamics, (defined) August 8, if there are dynamics, 16. If there are more dynamics, on 22, because registration is on 27-28," explained Ridwan Kamil.

However, Ridwan Kamil strongly suspects that the figure who will run in the Jakarta and West Java gubernatorial elections will be determined at the last minute. Until now, the Golkar Party has not determined or decided for Ridwan Kamil to run in Jakarta or return to West Java.

"Yes, of course, my name is still mentioned, there is Mr. Jusuf Hamka if he was from Golkar too. My feelings in Jakarta and West Java are last minutes," concluded Ridwan Kamil.
