The Perpetrator Of The Murder Of The Body Of 2 Gay Men In A Suitcase At The Clifton Suspension Bridge Was Arrested

JAKARTA - British police have charged a man with the murder of 2 men whose bodies were put in a suitcase on the Clifton Bristol Suspension Bridge.

Yostin Andres Mosquera (34) has been charged with the murder of two men, identified by police as Albert Alfonso (62) and Paul Longworth (71).

The two victims were in a relationship and lived together in a multi-storey/flat residence in Shepherd's Bush, west London, where Mosquera also lived for a short time, the Metropolitan Police said.

The body parts of the men's bodies were also found on the west London flat.

"I know that this horrific incident will cause concern not only among residents at Shepherds Bush but also in the wider LGBTQ+ community throughout London," Deputy Assistant Commissioner Andy Valentine said in a statement.

"I hope this can provide certainty that although the investigation is still ongoing and the investigation is still in its early stages, we are currently not looking for anyone else with respect to the two killings," he added.

The police also said the evidence collected so far did not show any homophobic motifs. But the case was initially categorized as a racial crime which will be reviewed as more and more evidence emerges.

Police in Bristol, southwest England, previously received a report on Wednesday evening July 10 about a man in a suitcase acting suspiciously on the Clifton bridge. The second suitcase was later found nearby.

Mosquera, who traveled from London with the suitcases, was arrested on Saturday last week in Bristol. He will be tried at the Wimbledonos Court in London on Monday night.
