Seeking Evidence Related To Corruption Cases In Indramayu Regency, KPK Searched The West Java Bappeda Office

JAKARTA - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators searched the West Java Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) office.

This is done to seek evidence in the case of the alleged receipt of gifts or promises related to financial assistance from West Java Province to the Indramayu Regency Government for the 2017-2019 Fiscal Years.

"The team searched the West Java Provincial Bapeda Office", said KPK spokesman for prosecution Ali Fikri in a written statement, Friday, March 19. It is not yet known what kind of evidence the investigators managed to bring. Because searches are still ongoing today.

A search related to this case was also carried out on Thursday, March 18 yesterday. At that time, investigators ransacked the house of the party involved in this case and secured evidence in the form of documents.

However, Ali did not explain whose residence the investigators ransacked. Given that, until now, the KPK has not announced the suspects or parties involved in the case.

Previously reported, the KPK carried out the development of a case of alleged receipt of gifts or promises related to financial assistance from West Java Province to the Indramayu Regency Government for the 2017-2019 Fiscal Years. In developing this case, the anti-corruption commission has even named new suspects.

However, based on the current leadership policy, the suspect's announcement and the chronology of this case still cannot be conveyed.

The KPK asks the public to be patient. Because, until now investigators are still working on the case.

Regarding this case, the KPK was previously appointed a member of the West Java DPRD for the 2014-2019 and 2019-2024 periods, Abdul Rozaq Muslim. This determination is the result of case development carried out by KPK investigators.

This case started with a hand-arrest operation (OTT) that caught four people on October 15, 2019. Those caught in the silent operation were the Regent of Indramayu for the 2014-2019 period Supendi, former Head of the Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office of Indramayu Omarsyah Regency, Head of the Roads Section at the PUPR Office of Indramayu Regency Wempy Triyono, and Carsa AS.
