Kompolnas Supervises Reports Of 7 Convicts In The Vina Cirebon Case For Alleged False Information

The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) oversees reports made by seven convicts of the Vina Cirebon case, West Java, against Aep and Dede regarding giving false information.

"Kompolnas will monitor, supervise. We encourage the process to be carried out professionally transparent and accountable," said Kompolnas Commissioner Yusuf Warsyim in his statement, Sunday, July 14.

Kompolnas also respects the police report made by the convict through his attorney. According to him, each report will certainly be received and recorded in the police report book, both model A and model B.

"Then the administration was carried out, whether it was appropriate to follow up by issuing an investigation task letter," he said.

Furthermore, if there is an investigation assignment letter, an investigation is carried out to find evidence whether what is reported is a criminal element or not.

Reports against Dede and Aep who are suspected of providing false information will be investigated whether the elements are fulfilled or not. Later, Yusuf continued, if it is true that the alleged element of the incident provides false information, then a report on the results of the investigation will be made which will then be held in a case.

Not only that, if there is sufficient evidence, it will be increased to the investigation stage and a notification letter will be issued for the start of the investigation (SPDP) and submitted to the prosecutor.

In addition, evidence is sought that explains who should be suspected of being the perpetrator based on at least two pieces of evidence.

"This is an investigation to find and obtain at least two pieces of evidence which explains someone who should be suspected of being the perpetrator," said Yusuf.

However, Kompolnas respects the report and submits it to the Bareskrim Polri investigators to process it and Kompolnas cannot conclude and guess because it must be processed, investigated, and investigated.

It is known, currently the report has been received with Police Report number: LP/B/227/VII/2024/SPKT Bareskrim Polri dated July 10, 2024 on behalf of the reporter Roely Panggabean as the attorney for seven convicts.
