JAKARTA - Golkar Party politician Ridwan Kamil said there had been no decision for him from the party to run in the West Java and Jakarta gubernatorial and deputy governor elections (Pilgub).
"Earlier it was decided that it was still being calculated first. So, today there has been no decision," said Ridwan Kamil at the Golkar Party DPP Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 10 night.
He said he would follow the party's decision to advance into the 2024 Regional Head Election Exchange (Pilkada). He also did not doubt his high electability in West Java because he was an incumbent.
"Yes, if West Java doesn't need to be asked, it's definitely a bit high because it's incumbent, right," he said.
However, Ridwan Kamil revealed that Golkar still takes into account the severity of advancing in the West Java or Jakarta gubernatorial elections.
According to him, there will be announcements regarding him to run in the regional elections in the next one to two weeks.
"As of tonight, it was conveyed that there was still no decision, especially West Java and DKI," said Ridwan Kamil.
Previously, Tuesday (9/7/2024), Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto said the determination of the nomination of Golkar cadre Ridwan Kamil (Kang Emil) in the Pilkada was still a matter of time.
"Wait a minute," said Airlangga.
He said there was still enough time to discuss the nomination of the former Governor of West Java in the 2024 Pilkada.
