The sanction was imposed on Hasyim Asy'ari in a verdict hearing held at the Office of the Honorary Council of Election Organizers (DKPP) on Wednesday (3/7).

Hasyim Asy'ari was proven and admitted that he had made a private trip with a 'golden woman' from Jakarta to Yogyakarta. The trip was carried out on August 18-19 2022 for a pilgrimage to several places.

Even though at that time Hasyim pocketed a letter of assignment dated August 12, 2022 to come to the signing of an agreement with 7 universities in Yogyakarta on August 18-20 as chairman of the Indonesian KPU.

"DKPP considers that the defendant's meeting with complainant 2 (Hasnaeni) as the chairman of a political party that is carried out personally outside of service is an action that has the potential to cause interests," said DKPP member I Dewa Raka Sandi, during a hearing to read the verdict.

Hasyim's journey with the gold woman was carried out in conjunction with the administrative verification activities of political parties candidates for the 2023 General Election. Republican Party One, chaired by Hasnaeni, is one of the registrant candidates for election participants.

DKPP assesses that Hasyim's activities are inappropriate and inappropriate because he is attached to an institutional symbol. DKPP also assesses that Hasyim has a personal closeness to gold women outside of the interests of holding elections.

The closeness of the two was proven through a conversation that was used as evidence in the trial. However, Hasyim's accusations of harassment against Hasnaeni were not proven.
