JAKARTA - Harun Masiku, a fugitive from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), is divorced by his wife, Hildawati Djamrin.

This decision was knocked by the Makassar Class IA District Court Judges specifically with verstek Number 238 / Pdt.G / 2020 / PN-Mks on Tuesday, March 16.

Hildawati's legal adviser, Hari Sakti Zabri, said the decision was correct and asked all parties to respect the steps of her client and not bother her anymore, especially regarding the case that ensnared Harun Masiku.

"Between Harun Masiku and my client there is no longer any relationship. Therefore regarding information, whereabouts or any kind about Harun Masiku, it is no longer my client's business," Hari told reporters when confirmed, Wednesday, March 17.

Harun Masiku, he continued, had also been summoned several times by the Makassar District Court regarding this divorce suit. It's just that, he never showed the bridge of his nose.

According to Hari, Harun Masiku's wife filed for divorce because since he was fugitive, the former PDI-P candidate has never met or been supported.

"My client has never communicated (with Harun, red) at all, since the disappearance and breakdown of this case," he said.

"Since the defendant disappeared, my client has never met again and is not supported," he continued.

Harun and Hildawati Djamrin married in Singapore on March 11, 2017. The two of them have yet to be blessed with children.

As previously reported, the Harun Masiku case actually occurred in early 2020. Harun allegedly bribed Wahyu Setiawan, who was then a KPU commissioner.

Harun Masiku's whereabouts are still mysterious today. Some say he was deliberately eliminated, there are those who say that Harun is outside the country.

Apart from Harun, the KPK to this day still has not succeeded in arresting seven other fugitive corruption cases. In fact, among the seven people there were suspects who had long been named by KPK investigators.
