The Wife Of A Police Officer Died At The Deli Serdang Nightclub, Suspected Of Having Overdosed

JAKARTA - The North Sumatra Regional Police is investigating the cause of death of RA (32), the wife of a police officer who is suspected of having overdosed at a nightclub in the Deli Serdang Regency.

The investigation was carried out by a joint team from the Crime and Violence Directorate of General Criminal Investigation, Directorate of Drug Research, and The Police's Professional and Security Division North Sumatra.

"Investigators are gathering evidence regarding the death of the wife of a police officer who is suspected of having overdosed", said Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Regional Police Hadi Wahyudi in Medan, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, March 16.

He said that RA died on Monday, March 8 after previously being taken to the hospital.

"RA is the wife of a police officer who served in North Sumatra. However, since April last year, they were not at home waiting for the divorce process", he said.

To reveal the cause of death, said Hadi, several people had also been examined as witnesses. The North Sumatra Regional Police will take firm action if drug trafficking is found at the nightclub.

"We are still exploring everything, we do not tolerate drug trafficking because what has happened so far is destroying the joints of community life", he emphasized.
