Anton Medan Has Ever Installed A Body In Pilgub DKI, Ahok: May His Spirit Be Accepted By Allah

JAKARTA - H. Ramdhan Effendi alias Anton Medan died in Kampung Sawah, Ragajaya, Bojong Gede-Bogor District, Monday, March 15.

Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok also mourned the death of Anton Medan. Because, Anton Medan is a true friend for him.

Even Anton Medan often defended Ahok when he was caught in the blasphemy case when Ahok was Governor of DKI Jakarta.

"He (he is a figure who is) a loyal friend," said Ahok to VOI, Jakarta, Monday, March 15.

Thus, Ahok sincerely prayed for all of Anton Medan's sins to be forgiven by God. "Hopefully his spirit will be accepted by Allah SWT," said Ahok.

Ahok said, he knew Anton Medan died directly from his family. In fact, said Ahok, before Anton Medan died, he had a chance to stay at his residence.

"I had time to visit him in Cibinong. Almost an hour (I was) there," said Ahok.

Meanwhile, Anton Medan has a long record in his life. Where since a young age he has been involved in various cases. Starting from robbery, gambling, to thuggery.

But over time, the owner of the Chinese name, Tan Hok Liang, repented. He later became a convert in 1992.

Even Anton Medan is now known as a kind man who always gives many benefits to others.

Anton Medan has been the Chairman of the Indonesian Chinese Islamic Association since 2012. He built a house of worship which was named the Jami 'Tan Hok Liang Mosque.
