NTB Police Handles Case Of Embezzlement Of Motorbike Sale And Purchase Involves Members Of The Sector Police

The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police handled a report on the alleged embezzlement of buying and selling motorbikes involving a member of the Narmada Sector Police (Polsek) with the initials IWAP.

Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Kombes Rio Indra Lesmana, said that he had not received any information regarding the handling of cases that came from the reporting party who claimed to be victims.

"To be clear, we will coordinate again with the criminal about the existence of the report," Rio said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 11.

The report from this case was submitted to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the NTB Police on May 8, 2024. The reporter submitted a report through his attorney, Adhar.

Adhar said the report on the alleged embezzlement case was related to the sale and purchase of four-wheeled vehicles.

"For this case of vehicle embezzlement, it is related to the purchase of a Suzuki brand car for Rp. 146 million," said Adhar.

However, he continued, since the purchase transaction in 2018, the victim has not yet received the motor vehicle ownership book (BPKB) from the reported party.

"So, our client feels cheated by the reported party, so we will proceed to the legal process by reporting the person concerned to the NTB Police," he said.

In addition, IWAP was also reported in connection with the alleged seizure of Elisabeth Ariani Delhaes' land in Malacca Hamlet, Malacca Village, Pemenang District, North Lombok Regency, covering an area of 9,247 square meters.

Adhar said that his party had sent a report on the seizure of the land to the North Lombok Police on May 30, 2024.

"The reported party deliberately installed theugas (gazebo) on our client's land without a clear basis and reason. Through his messenger (reported) he also threatened and intimidated officers or guards of our client's yard," said Adhar.

In addition, IWAP was also reported to the North Lombok Police regarding the seizure of land belonging to a resident named Rita Siswati covering an area of 2,422 square meters in a location still in the Malacca area.

"In this case, the reported person brought material in the form of a stone truck and one sand truck without a basis and clear reasons to Rita Siswati's land," he said.

Because he considered that IWAP's actions had tarnished the good name of the police, Adhar said that his party also reported the IWAP to the Profession and Security Division (Bidpropam) of the NTB Police on Monday (10/6).

In a report to the NTB Regional Police Bidpropam, IWAP is suspected of violating Article 6 of the Government Regulation in Lieu of Law Number 51 of 1960 in conjunction with Article 378 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 372 of the Criminal Code jo. Police Regulation Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Professional Code of Ethics and the Police Code of Ethics Commission.

Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) Polda NTB Kombes Pol. Syarif Hidayat admitted that he did not know about this report. This was also conveyed by the Head of the North Lombok Police Satreskrim Iptu Ghufron Subeki.
