JAKARTA - The government, through the spokesman for the handling of the corona virus or COVID-19, Achmad Yurianto, explained the number of COVID-19 cases is increasing per day. Based on data received as of Friday, March 20, there were an additional 60 cases of new positive corona patients in Indonesia.

"From March 19 at 12.00 until March 20 this afternoon. There are 60 new cases, so the total positive cases are 369 cases," Yurianto said in a press conference broadcast on YouTube, Friday, March 20.

Furthermore, there is also additional data on the death toll of 7 people. Then, there was also the addition of 1 positive patient who recovered.

"Then there was an additional 1 case of cured so that the number of recovered cases was 17. Then there was an addition of 7 cases who died. So that the total number of cases who died became 32 people," said Yuri.

The data is sent to the local department

Later, the data will also be sent to the local health office according to the patient's identity. This was done to make it easier to trace or tracing their contact history.

Then, after knowing who has been in contact with the patient, they will be examined in depth whether there is transmission or not.

"So it can be used for contact tracing, to find anyone who has had contact with this patient. Then we have to do an examination," said Yuri.

By using the existing data, it is said, it can minimize the spread rate. This is because those who have had a history of contact with the patient will be immediately isolated, however, it will depend on the condition of their bodies and the results of the examination.

"This is our effort to find, find and isolate positive cases in the community. So that it does not spread everywhere," said Yuri.
