Witness At The SYL Session, Sahroni Calls Surya Paloh's Message: Tell The Straight

The General Treasurer of the NasDem Party, Ahmad Sahroni, was present as a witness in the trial of the alleged extortion and acceptance of gratuities for the defendant Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL, today, Wednesday, June 6, 2024.

According to VOI monitoring, Sharoni was seen wearing a brown-motivated yellow batik. He arrived at Muhammad Hatta Ali's courtroom at around 10.11 WIB.

Before giving testimony before the trial, Sahroni had conveyed that there was no specific preparation. He only said that he would convey everything he knew.

"There is no preparation. I will convey what I know," said Sahroni, Wednesday, June 5.

Not only that, Sahroni also conveyed about the General Chairperson of NasDem, Surya Paloh, knowing that he would testify at the SYL trial.

It was said that Surya Paloh had advised him to convey everything.

"His message conveys everything that is straight," said Sahroni.

Ahmad Sahroni is one of five witnesses presented today. Meanwhile, the other four witnesses who will be presented by the public prosecutor (JPU) are Indira Chunda Thita who is the daughter of SYL; owner of Suita Travel, Harly Lafian; and owner of Maktour Travel Fuad, Hasan Masyhur.

In addition, the prosecutor also presented GM Media Radio Prambors or PT Bayureksa, Dhirgaraya S Santo who had fulfilled the summons at the June 3 trial.

In this case, SYL was charged with extortion of up to Rp44.5 billion during the 2020-2023 period.

This action was carried out together with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono and the Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery of the Directorate General of Infrastructure and Facilities of the Ministry of Agriculture Muhammad Hatta.

This money was used for the benefit of Syahrul's wife and family, invited gifts, the NasDem Party, religious events, aircraft charters to Umrah and sacrifices. In addition, he was also charged with receiving gratuities of Rp40.6 billion from January 2020 to October 2023.
