PT RDG Airlines Indonesia Boss Examined Regarding Alleged Bribery To Lukas Enembe

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined five witnesses regarding the alleged bribery of former Governor Lukas Enembe. One of them is Mutmainah Aminatun Amaliah, Director of PT RDG Airlines Indonesia.

"Today at the KPK's Red and White Building, the investigative team has scheduled the summons and examination of witnesses," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters in a written statement, Monday, June 3.

Apart from Mutmainah, investigators also summoned four private parties. They are Hendri Utama, Rizky Agung, Sunarjo, Bayu Chandra, and Syukri.

Ali has not yet detailed the material for the examination. However, he explained that the briber Lukas is currently being targeted.

"There is a new case of development as a bribe giver. Apart from Piton Enumbi who has died," he said.

The Piton Enumbi was declared dead for medical reasons based on a certificate issued by the Jayapura Provita Hospital on Thursday, May 30.

Previously, Lukas Enembe also died before the case had permanent legal force. He was found guilty in the case of alleged bribery and gratuities related to infrastructure project work in Papua Province.

He was sentenced to 8 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 500 million, subsidiary to 4 months in prison.

Lukas was also sentenced to an additional sentence in the form of paying compensation of Rp. 19.69 billion, subsidiary to 2 years in prison and revocation of political rights for 5 years after serving his sentence.

The Jakarta Corruption Court Panel of Judges said that Lukas was proven to have received bribes of up to Rp17.7 billion. One of them is from Piton Enumbi, who is the owner and director of PT Melonesia Mulia, PT Lingge-Lingge, PT Astrad Jaya, and PT Melonesia Cahaya Timur worth Rp10.4 billion.
