The revitalization of pedestrians in the Kota Tua area has been completed by one of the private companies in the property sector of PT Triyasa Propertindo with an investment cost of IDR 39 billion.

Director of the company PT Triyasa Propertindo Sigit Priambodo explained that the pedestrian arrangement covers Lada Street and East Kali Besar Street, West Jakarta as a form of conversion.

"The revitalization of Rp39 billion is realized in the form of making pedestrians and road arrangements located on Jalan Lada along 390 meters and Jalan Kalibesar Timur along 208 meters," Sigit said as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, June 2.

Sigit assessed that the company is proud to be able to contribute to the Kota Tua revitalization project which is one of the legendary areas in Jakarta that has historical value, architecture and landscape of high art-valued areas.

The Old Town Arrangement Project is a form of implementation of the principle permit for converting financing obligations and the construction of cheap/simple flats issued by DKI Jakarta DPMPTSP to PT Aruna Kirana, which is a subsidiary.

The subsidiary has handed over the realization of pedestrian arrangement in Kota Tua Jakarta to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in early May.

"With the revitalization of the Old City of Jakarta through the construction of this sidewalk, it is hoped that it will provide comfort for Jakarta residents, especially when in the Old City of Jakarta," said Sigit.

The revitalization of pedestrian routes is carried out considering that Kota Tua is a low emission zone. The Kota Tua area is also designed to reduce pollution by minimizing the mobility of private vehicles.

The sidewalk is also equipped with a directing block to make it friendly for visually impaired people.
