Learning To Imitate Self-Isolation From The Mayor Of Bogor Who Is Positive For COVID-19

JAKARTA - After isolating himself at home for four days, Bogor Mayor Bima Arya tested positive for the corona virus or COVID-19. He revealed this on his Instagram account, @bimaaryasugiarto, this morning.

Bima received the news that he was positive for corona after a call by the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, on Thursday, March 19 afternoon. Prior to that, on the same day, Bima received the results of the SWAB test which was carried out on Tuesday, March 17 at Bogor Senior Hospital.

After finding out that he was positive for corona, Bima was immediately isolated at the Bogor City Regional General Hospital (RSUD).

"I ask for prayers to everyone, because this is a trial for me and my family. God willing, we will be strengthened. I pray that all Bogor residents will always be given health," Bima said on his Instagram account.

So far, Bima has not shown significant symptoms when he was infected with the virus originating from China. However, we need to learn from Bima about how he isolates himself before testing positive.

Bima and the Bogor City Government entourage returned from a working visit to Turkey and Azerbajian. These two countries have previously caught the corona virus. From here, Bima and his jajajaran were immediately declared as people in the monitoring (ODP) of the corona virus, and immediately underwent an examination test. During his appointment as ODP, Bima worked to lead the city of Bogor from his home.

"Although there were no significant symptoms, only a small cough, I decided to follow all the protocols and procedures and undergo self-isolation," he said.

Bima appealed to all residents of Bogor City to be more serious about maintaining health, doing social distancing (maintaining distance and avoiding crowds), and not having to travel if it is not urgent.

"COVID-19 can affect anyone, but many have also recovered from this virush. So, but be optimistic and always be careful and keep your distance," said Bima.

As long as Bima became a corona positive patient and was isolated for 14 days, the leadership of Bogor City was handed over to the Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Dedie Rachim. Dedie got the task to deal with the spread of the corona virus in Bogor.

Apart from Bima, the test results also stated that one of the other city government officials was also positive for COVID-19, while the other three members of the group tested negative.
