Still Opening Candidates, PSI Jakarta Reviews The Opportunity For The Budisatrio-Kaesang Duet In The Jakarta Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Desk Justin Adrian emphasized that his party will continue to open the selection of candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta.

Although, the Gerindra Party has thrown a discourse on pairing the Deputy Chairperson of Gerindra Budisatrio Djiwandono with PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep in the 2024 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"I am still asked to continue to open the selection (cagub-cawagub carried by PSI) until the end of July," Justin told reporters, Friday, May 31.

Moreover, Justin admitted that the PSI DKI Jakarta Regional Leadership Council (DPW) had not received any information from the DPP regarding the duet of Prabowo Subianto's nephew with President Joko Widodo's youngest son.

"It's not final yet, we also decide or carry who, right? It could be that this is from internal, from external parties and everything is still open at PSI," said Justin.

On the one hand, Justin views that the Budisatrio-Kaesang duo exhibited by Dasco only enlivens the Jakarta cagub-cawagub exchange. Given that currently no political party has officially announced which pairs are being promoted.

"This is a very good thing, yes, to enliven the atmosphere of the election of the Governor of DKI Jakarta, which from yesterday may seem cool for the community as well," he explained.
