JAKARTA - Police are investigating the death of a grandfather named Hasan Suwardi whose body was found caught between the railroad fence near Lenteng Agung Station.

"We are still investigating, the cause of death is not yet known," said Jagakarsa Police Chief, Kompol Eko Mulyadi, quoted by Antara, Friday, March 12.

According to him, the discovery of the body of the 85-year-old grandfather was first reported by station security officers at around 04.00 WIB while on patrol.

Previously, station security officers had patrolled at around 01.00 WIB. During the patrol, the officers did not find anything unusual.

Kompol Eko suspected that the grandfather, who was known to have his address at Kampung Citayam RT 01 / RW 04, Bojong Gede Bogor, would cross by climbing an iron fence.

However, his body was caught in the sidelines of an iron fence with a height of more than one meter, to be precise the fence at KM22 + 7/8 between Lenteng Agung and Tanjung Barat stations.

The police, he continued, did not find any serious injuries on his grandfather's body, but he is thought to have died due to the pressure between the iron fences.

"Because there was no one, no one helped, so he died," he said.

Currently, the victim's body has been evacuated to Fatmawati Hospital for a post mortem.
