Head of the Aceh Kejari Intelligence Section Jaya Dedi Saputra said the suspect with the initials M who is a former Keuchik or Head of Paya Laot Village, Setia Bakti District, Aceh Jaya Regency.

"Suspect M is being held for the next 20 days at the Class III Calang Penitentiary, Aceh Jaya Regency. Detention of the suspect for the investigation process," said Dedi Saputra as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 22.

Before being detained at a correctional facility, he said, suspect M underwent an examination from a team of doctors at the Teuku Umar Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Calang, Aceh Jaya Regency. The detention of suspect M was carried out after being declared healthy.

Dedi Saputra said M was named a suspect for allegedly being involved in a criminal act of corruption in the issuance of land certificate redistribution in Paya Laot Village in 2016. The land area issued by the certificate reaches 260 hectares of the total land area of 506.9 hectares.

Based on the results of the audit by the Aceh Jaya District Inspectorate team, said Dedi Saputra, the state losses incurred from the issuance of redistribution of land certificates reached more than Rp12.6 billion.
