Members Of Ormas In Garut Arrested Because Of Viral Videos, Dandim: Those Who Regulate The State Are Not Organizations, Do Not Harass

GARUT - Police have arrested members of mass organizations because of a viral video harassing the Police and TNI in Cilawu, Garut, West Java.

Garut Police Chief AKBP Adi Benny Cahyono confirmed the incident and the case has been handled by the Garut Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

"It is being handled by the Satreskrim," he said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 10.

Meanwhile, Commander of Garut District Military Command 0611 Lieutenant Colonel CZi Deni Iskandar regretted the actions of members of mass organizations in Garut who offended the National Police and TNI institutions. The video is spread to various regions.

"How come they want to regulate us, we are the ones controlling the country, not mass organizations, respect the institutions, don't harass, if that's the language the language becomes insulting," said the Dandim.

He emphasized that members of the mass organization have been handled by the Garut Police to undergo the legal process.

"It's at the Polres, the Police will follow up later," Dandim continued.

Previously, a 3-minute 55-second video was circulated showing several people, including one of the mass organizations who said that he could manage the police and the TNI.
