Manson Siahaan Arrested For Shopping With Counterfeit Money, Hundreds Of Fake Money At His Home

MEDAN - The police revealed cases of counterfeit bills of Rp50 thousand and Rp100 thousand in Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra. Manson Siahaan, a suspect in making counterfeit money, has been arrested.

Kasat Reskrim Reskrim Serdang Bedagai Police, AKP Pandu Winata said the perpetrator was arrested on Sunday, March 8. The arrest began with the suspicion of the owner of the stall where the suspect was shopping for groceries.

At that time, the suspect was shopping using counterfeit banknotes of Rp. 100 thousand.

The shop owner then complained to the police. The police immediately moved and arrested the perpetrators.

"The perpetrator was arrested for the circulation of counterfeit money which has troubled residents," said Pandu, Wednesday, March 10.

132 pieces of evidence of counterfeit money in the Rp100 thousand denomination were confiscated from the suspect's hand. There were also 130 rupiah denominations of Rp.

"Apart from that, the police also confiscated 2 printers that were suspected of printing counterfeit bills," said Pandu.

From the temporary investigation, the suspect admitted that he had only been carrying out the action for a month. Perpetrators learn self-taught.

"He admitted that he had only printed fake bills for 1 month and used them to buy daily necessities," said Pandu.
