Mahfud MD's Message To The National Police Chief, Handle Narcotics Cases, Do Not Sell Confiscated Items

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) Mahfud MD advised the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, to prioritize handling cases that are of public concern. One of them is a drug case.

"The problems that are of concern to the public are about drugs, confiscated goods that must be safe and (do not) suddenly sell confiscated goods, and parts of it," Mahfud MD said after a meeting with the National Police Chief, Tuesday, March 9.

During the meeting, Mahfud admitted that he also discussed the Electronic Transaction Information Law (ITE). Meanwhile, the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit, has issued an order to his staff to be more selective in handling ITE cases.

"Yes, the ITE Law (discussed)," said Mahfud.

For about an hour, the two of them talked a lot about the Police. Including the question of the shortage of the National Police during the leadership of General Listyo Sigit.

"Of course we discussed many things related to the programs that are currently and will be implemented in the future. We will report to him and of course Kompolnas as our supervisor," said Listyo Sigit.

"Of course we also ask to be able to provide input and assessment because there are many things that we evaluate, correct for the future improvement of the National Police's organization. Both the organizational side, personal performance and operational activities that we carry out are included in the four transformation activities that are carried out. We have already planned, the transformation to a precise Polri, "said Sigit.
