BOGOR - The Archipelago Maju Vision Study Institute (LS Vinus) released the results of the electability-level survey of the Bogor Regent Candidates and the Governor of West Java in the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

LS Executive Director Vinus Yusfitriadi revealed that currently the candidates for regent and governor have emerged even though they are dominated by individual self-image, not representing political parties.

"The data taken from the people of Bogor Regency, not only from an electoral perspective but also some informative and educational data," said Yusfitriadi as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 8.

In the survey, the questions raised to respondents were open, because the stages to find out the regent and deputy regent candidate were still three months into the future.

The top five candidates for regent with the highest electability are Ade Ruhandi at 26.75 percent, Iwan Setiawan 7.38 percent, Rudy Susmanto 5.63 percent, Rike Iskandar 3.7 percent, and Elly Rachmat Yasin 3.13 percent.

Meanwhile, the top five candidates for governor with the highest electability were Ridwan Kamil at 21.06 percent, Dedi Mulyadi 14.75 percent, Bima Arya 7.94 percent, Anies Baswedan 2.69 percent, and Ade Ruhandi 1.50 percent.

Yusfitriadi explained that the survey methodology was carried out from April 25 to May 3, 2024 through the cluster random sampling method using the slovin theory in sampling.

"The sample is 1,600 respondents with open and semi-open instruments through face-to-face interviews," said Yusfitriadi.
