Good News For NTT Residents, 122 Healing Patients With COVID-19, Total 7,972

JAKARTA - The Provincial Health Office of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) said an additional 122 patients were recovering from COVID-19.

Secretary of the NTT Provincial Health Office David Mandala said, based on the results of the swab sample examination carried out in the biomolecular laboratory of WZJohannes Kupang Hospital and BBTKL (PCR Car of Naimata Mental Hospital) 122 swab samples were declared negative from exposure to the Coronavirus.

"The 122 patients who were declared cured came from four regencies/cities in NTT", said David when contacted as quoted by Antara, Sunday, March 7. In detail, 3 COVID-19 patients in Kupang City, 1 in Kupang Regency, 43 in Ende Regency, and South Central Timor (TTS) Regency, there are 75 people.

After the addition of 122 patients who recovered, the accumulative number of patients who recovered from the COVID-19 virus infection in East Nusa Tenggara was 7,972 people.

"We continue to hope that the number of COVID-19 patients who recover in NTT will continue to increase every day", said David Mandala.

According to the results of the swab sample examination, there were an additional 40 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in NTT, this Sunday, March 7. New confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 came from Kupang City 19 people, South Central Timor (TTS) 13 people, Ende Regency 6 people, Manggarai Regency, and East Sumba 1 person each.

With the addition of 40 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19, the number of COVID-19 cases in NTT reached 10,483 people. "There are 1,847 COVID-19 patients who are still under medical care and quarantine in NTT", said David Mandala.

Also, he said, there were an additional 4 cases of death due to COVID-19 in NTT from Kupang City, two people, Ende District and Southwest Sumba 1 each.

"The number of COVID-19 patients who died due to exposure to the Coronavirus in NTT reached 286 people", said David Mandala.
