One Person Killed As A Result Of Persecution In Banda Aceh

JAKARTA - As many as four residents of Lamjabat Village, Meuraxa District, Banda Aceh City, were victims of severe persecution which resulted in one person dying and three others being injured.

"Yes, it is true, it was severe torture that caused people to die, there were four victims, one died", said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Banda Aceh Police, AKP M Ryan Citra Yudha, in Banda Aceh, reported by Antara, Friday, March 5.

Ryan said that the persecution incident took place at 10:00 WIB, but so far it is not yet known exactly what the chronology of the incident was.

In the meantime, said Ryan, The suspect in the persecution was arrested by the local community together with the police not long after the incident occurred.

"The perpetrator with the initials P was arrested shortly after the incident by residents and police officers", he said.

However, Ryan has not been able to explain in more detail the origin of the perpetrators and the motive for the persecution that took the lives of others.

"It is still deepening (the reasons for the perpetrators to commit the persecution)", said Ryan.

The investigators, Ryan continued, were still investigating the incident that killed humans. Several witnesses had also been summoned for further investigation.

"Investigators are currently examining witnesses to determine the cause of the incident", he said.

Regarding the status of the four victims, whether they have family ties or whether they are not yet certain, investigators are still investigating it.

"We are also still investigating whether all of them have a family relationship or not", he said.

Ryan said that the three victims who were injured were rushed to the hospital by residents, and reportedly have been sent back home. Exactly what conditions are being checked in.

"We are still checking the situation, the information I received has been brought home from the hospital, but we will check again", said Ryan.
