There Are 14 PHPU 'Amicus Curiae' For The 2024 Presidential Election, Including Megawati, Who Are Investigated By The Constitutional Court

JAKARTA - Head of the Legal and Administrative Bureau of the Constitutional Court (MK) Fajar Laksono said that only 14 court friends oramicus stole the dispute over the 2024 General Election Results (PHPU) will be investigated.

"The 14 that have been investigated by the judge so far, does not mean it is considered," said Fajar as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, April 18.

Fajar said the 14amicus theft had been handed over to the constitutional panel of judges who handled the presidential election dispute case. However, he could not confirm whether or not the crime was considered.

"It will be considered or not later, but the important thing is that 14amicus theft has been handed over to the judge and has been read and observed," he said.

Fajar explained, 14amicus stealing is meant to be aamicus theft received by the Constitutional Court until April 16, 2024 at 16.00 WIB. He emphasized that the deadline was the decision of the panel of judges.

"That was the decision of the panel of judges, yes, maybe because the conclusion was also submitted at the latest hour at 16.00 yesterday. Since then, all files including conclusions have become studied material, studied, investigated, and considered by the panel of judges," he explained.

Meanwhile, againstamicus theft which was filed after April 16, the Constitutional Court still accepts and administers it well, but the constitutional judge will not investigate it.

"If it is not limited, this RPH will continue. Later, there will be a lot of entry, there will be a lot of entry, it will affect the discussion process or decision making," continued Fajar.

Fajar said the scale of the influence ofamicus stealing in the decision making could not be measured. This is completely returned to each constitutional judge.

"Each judge could be different. Well, how does it affect decision making, yes, we'll see in the breakup how much amicus steals it affects decision making," he said.

He also said that the experience ofamicus stealing in the PHPU case was still minimal. "We have received (amicus stealing), but in the case of testing the law," he said.
