Central PWI Commitment To Hold Free UKW: Starting From Central Papua And Riau

JAKARTA - A total of 60 participants came from Central Papua and Riau Provinces who would take the competency test of journalists (UKW) for Central PWI facilities in the two areas were so enthusiastic about participating in journalistic or pre-UKW training, which was held via zoom meeting, Monday (15/4).

One of the participants from Nabire, Erens, was very active in discussing the delivery of journalistic training materials by the speakers of the Head of the Education Division, M. Nasir.

According to the Director of LUKW PWI, Dr. Firdaus Komar, who was present to monitor the implementation of pre-UKW Journalistic Training, it was mandatory to be followed by participants who would take part in UKW.

Central Papua Province, which will hold UKW in the capital Nabire for five classes on April 18-19 2024, will be continued in Riau Province for six classes on April 23-24 2024 and then followed in South Sumatra for 8 classes on April 26-27 2024 and in Riau Province for six classes, on May 3-4, 2024.

Chairman of the Central PWI Hendry Ch Bangun, in his opening remarks on journalistic / pre UKW training, said that UKW in Central Papua and Riau continued the implementation of UKW which had been held in 10 provinces.
