Israeli Ambassador Claims Iran Threats Of Peace After Carrying Out Military Attacks

JAKARTA - Iran's unexpected attack on Israel stole the world's attention. One of them, Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Gilad Erdan, who called the attack proving Iran a threat to regional and world peace.

"The attack has exceeded all limits and Israel has the right to retaliate," Erdan said at the UN Security Council's emergency hearing. reported Antara on Sunday, April 14.

Erdan said that Iran's attack on Israel was an unprecedented escalation, as well as a danger sign for previous warnings that were ignored, according to a UN written statement.

"Israel... tries to make the world aware of the potential dangers that Iran has and its proxies," he said.

While delivering his remarks before the UN Security Council, Erdan played a video which he said indicated the Iranian attack was in the air area of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

He then questioned what the United Nations had done to protect the world from Iran.

Israel's representative to the United Nations further said that Iran clearly has the aim of arming, financing, and training its terror proctions spread all over the world. The attack on Israel, which was launched from Iran's own territory, has invalidated Iran's rebuttal to this so far.

"Moreover, Israel is currently under siege by Iranian proxies and is being attacked on all fronts," said Erdan.

Iran's top has fallen so that the world's negligence must also end. Our only option at this time is to denounce Iran... and ensure that they are aware that the world will no longer remain silent," he said.

The latest hostilities between Iran and Israel were triggered by an attack on the Iranian Consulate in Damascus, Syria, on April 1, which killed at least seven members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), including two important generals.

Iran then launched a counter-attack by firing dozens of ballistic missiles and hundreds of unmanned aircraft at Israel on Saturday night (13/4).

The attack, according to Israel, was thwarted and only hit a military air base in Israel but caused no serious damage.
