GARUT - The flow of vehicles on the hot spring tourist route in the Darajat area, Pasirwangi District, Garut Regency, West Java, began to slope at the end of the Eid holiday, Sunday.

Head of the Pariwangi Police, Iptu Wahyono Aji, confirmed that the end of the Eid al-Fitr holiday traffic conditions on the Darajat tourist route had started to return to normal, as opposed to the previous congestion from morning to night.

"Last Saturday was a busy route, until midnight," said Wahyono Aji at the Darajat Security Post, Saturday night.

He said that since the Lebaran holiday, the Darajat tourist area in Pasirwangi District has become a tourist destination just to enjoy warm water swimming pool facilities.

The most visits during the Lebaran holiday, he said, on Saturday (13/4) reached 5 thousand people, with the number of vehicles entering for two wheels as many as a thousand units, and four wheels 750 units.

"If Saturday time there are many vehicles, on Sunday it has gone down, almost half of it was yesterday," he said.

The decline in the level of visits, he said, means that there will be no more traffic congestion on the Darajat tourist route, as well as in other tourist destinations, it is reported that it has started to slope, such as from the southern region of Garut.

Even though there has been a decline, said the police chief, his staff remains on standby at the security post and the route is prone to traffic jams to ensure conditions are safe and orderly.

"We make sure there are no thugs who interfere, we have anticipated everything, as well as so far there have been no incidents on tourist routes, thank God it is safe," he said. Meanwhile, until Sunday night a number of tourists were still monitored in the Darajat Pass swimming pool tourist area.

Water Park Darajat Pass Manager Andri Muhamad Hidayat said the level of tourist visits during the Lebaran holiday season was not too crowded, the number was almost the same as the weekend holiday, recorded on Saturday (14/4) until 16.00 WIB almost two thousand people.

"Currently, like yesterday's density, usually people from the previous year were interested in the Darajat Pass, now move it to another place," he said.
